A total of $50,000 in funding will be distributed to support two $25,000 faculty scholarship projects through 2025.
2024-2025 Academic Year Theme: Innovation in the Use and Measurement of Simulation Pedagogy in Nursing Education
91ÇÑ×Ó is seeking proposals to examine the impact of simulation-based education using a wide variety of methodologies, including, but not limited to, mannequin-based, XR, and virtual simulation on student transition to practice outcomes. Recognizing the importance of experiential learning to the preparation of the next generation of nurses, there continues to be a need for evidence of best practices to improve educational outcomes. 91ÇÑ×Ó will fund two $25,000 grants for pilot studies to measure student outcomes using simulation-based education.
Faculty Commitment
Faculty receiving funding must provide 6- and 12-month progress reports and share data findings and additional content with the academic nursing community through 91ÇÑ×Ó’s website, Syllabus newsletter, and social media. Scholars will be expected to present an 91ÇÑ×Ó webinar and submit a manuscript for publication to the Journal of Professional Nursing.

Timeline
- May 6, 2024 - Application opens
- August 5, 2024 - Application closes
- End of October 2024 - Recipients notified, awarded, and announced
Review & Selection Process
The 91ÇÑ×Ó Faculty Scholars Grant Program applications will be reviewed and selected by a review committee appointed by the 91ÇÑ×Ó Board of Directors.
Applicants will be notified of acceptance in October. At that time, the Primary Project Manager will receive notification, necessary documentation, and reporting information.
